Our children matter

Children are like sponges. They absorb information very quickly. When it comes to acquisition of vocabulary, many people assume that it is a Herculean task to make a child learn new words.

For me, I expose my son, Nassn, to words and numbers when he was just 18 months old. Today, he is 5 years old, but he has more vocabulary than a ten-year old.

He enjoys reading, watching cartoons and documentaries. He loves dancing too. He loves to doodle and draw and he plays games on his tablet.

All I am saying is that, every child is different. But every child is the same. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Remember to go with their interests and encourage them. Let them use the digital device sometimes, but never forget to instill in our children the love for learning.

We all play a part in shaping our children’s character and mind.

Our children matter.

Love,
